I hate renting period...and its even worse here in Argentina. The landlord ( who lives down below us ) has plumbing problems...actually it seems like all of the plumbing collectively is just going to snot in this place. Anyways the owner wants these guys to stay in our apartment working all day this week while we are at work and he says we can trust them. However when I went downstairs to answer the front door, the front door ( which opens to the street ) wasnt even locked...like I asked them. If they cant even be responsible in the simplest things, how am I gonna have confidence that while I am at work all day and these guys arent here, nobody will enter our apartment and steal something...that THEY wont steal something? In Argentina you have to be very careful with regards to WHO you let in your house to do anything! I told them why cant they come and work all day on Saturday and the owner tells me that here in Argentina the home owner has to make arrangements to be available only when the workers are available...not the other way around...thats the craziest thing I have ever heard! And the landlord is from Spain..not Argentina! On top of it all...my wife is 7 months pregnant..I dont want all this dust and mess. Last year these guys worked in here and made a huge mess in here and we had to clean it up...somethings I just "hate" the way they do things here!

Can you get a friend or some family to come and sit in. I would feel safer if there were a few trusted people there to keep guard.

my father in law is coming today, tomorrow I will be able to work here but after that I dont know what we are going to be able to do. He should have taken care of these things before he started renting this apartment out. But he is so stubborn..he doesnt cre...he didnt give us time to prepare. And this is after 4 years of paying rent faithfully..sometimes even paying early. He is not Argentine but a Catalan from Spain...retired.
