There are but a few things in my life that I can say I wish I had done and one of them is meeting Earl. It was on my bucket list of things to do. It didn't happen. I have followed Earl almost my entire life, his style of playing, his personality. It was only in my later years that I grew to truly appreciate what Earls music was doing to/for me. I realize now that Earl was my mentor.
I do have an autograph of Earl. I am just sorry I wasn't able to get it person. Earl is gone in body, but his spirit will live forever in his music. Good-Bye Earl Scruggs.
