Next semester I am transferring to  VUJC a community college closer to home to get ALL my basic classes out of the way for my two year degree and then next school year I will go back up to Vincennes to finish my Conservation Law degree. This will give me the next semester and all summer to get goin on my taxidermy stuff. I already have a few people askin me to do stuff for them but I have to get my license first hopefully it dont take very long. I am super excited. I have wanted this for about a year now and everything is finally starting to fall together.

THE PROBLEM--HELP...........I am filling out the Taxidermy license form and it asks for a shop name....I have never gave it much thought....sooooo I need everyones help on coming up with a name for a Taxidermy shop. I would prefer it to not be to girly lol So i am open to all ideas!!! Please tell me your thoughts, i really appreciate it! Thank you everyone!!

Mallory: I've been resisting to the best of my ability, that is not responding because I know I'll probably sound like your father! That said - here goes.

I've been around quite a while (see my bio). So I feel comfortable offering advice, and I often do, and have in my past been very good at mentoring younger employees that I have worked with. Yes, I know your not yet an employee, but what I have to say applies just as well.

You need to stay focused on your education!!! You're dream to have a taxidermy shop will come to fruition - sooner or maybe later in your life. You are just getting started on the road - and a very long road it is. The first thing you want to do is get an education that will result in you getting a well paying job. That's the target that you need to be focusing on right now! Once you have the well paying job you can then look at taxidermy and opening a business in that area if you want. You will not likely make a good living doing just that - my guess, I don't know a whole lot about taxidermy - but I think you are a smart young lady and with good grades and a good education there is no reason that you can't move into a profession that eventually will net you six figures a year. Taxidermy won't do that for you, unless you're figuring on opening a chain of taxidermy shops and having lots of employees.

I have unfortunately watched too many young people follow their heart in a career direction that has resulted in them struggling their entire life. You don't want that for yourself. Get your education and a well paying job and you will have the freedom to pursue your dream, with the comfort of not having to depend on it for a living.

I hope this helps you. I really admire your ambition and eagerness - I wish you the best of luck whichever path you choose.
