Music to me is a blessing, its a gift that those that have it has some thing that so many want but can not have. Music brings the world together as a great bridge between cultures and faiths. Music is color blind for truly it does not see the race of a man,but a man that can sing and play his happiness, sadness, his great memories and loss in songs to speak from the heart.
You can teach a man how to play but you can not give the gift of music to them for them to pick it right up to play. So many have tried and most will never become good musicians but the music they play will leave a smile on their faces. Music as the great gift can be held with love and knowledge by a poor man, but the richest of men can try to buy it but they cant play it. Its a gift in my eyes that people who have over come great odds like Doc Watson who is blind can play with such amazing skill and force. Where as a man blessed with sight can not even come close to the notes and sound that a blind musician displays.
Music is the life long friend for the wanderer who travels the world alone, going down the paths of life that few will take. One like myself that went through personal hell and tragic events, fought with the law and nearly died to turn life around and find a better path. Music has been my companion and lover deep in the soul where the heart beats wild.
Music my long friend of life until the end, how you are a blessing to me and to those like me that loves you back with the great joy you give in playing from the heart that no teacher can teach, nor any tab can show. A blessing it is my friends, the greatest of Gifts.
