Roscoe, Lee, and Abadie have quite a weekend planned! We'll be performing throughout the day at the Rural Life Museum, in Baton Rouge, this Saturday. We'll provide the music for the Louisiana Vintage Dancers' performance. We'll play at various places around the grounds, and you may even catch some really bad (but funny!) magic tricks, possibly a temperance sermon or phrenology reading demonstration (cause we all need phriends!), and Dr. Abadie may even make his Black Bear Salve and/or Elixir of Life available, if there's a crowd (with money!) to listen and learn about their restorative powers! There will also be a reenactment of the Battle of Baton Rouge that you'll surely want to catch!
Sunday, we hope to provide music for the reenactors' church service (if the preacher will have us), and we'll play again on the ground around lunchtime.
As Rev. Lee and Squire Roscoe are fond of saying...Come on out and party like it's 1859!!!
