Curtis McPeake

Posted by hitchcock on Monday, May 23, 2011

What do you think of Curtis? I have been listening to him for the past couple of weeks and am just enjoying listening to the style of playing that he has. It just seems he does a lot of stuff I've never heard.

Well he used to play with Danny Davis and the Nashville Brass that I know of in the 70s and I have 2 CDs I have been listening to. The one I have in front of me is Curtis McPeake Vintage 1976 with Benny Martin and Josh Graves. It is a wonderful CD. I'll have to retrieve the other CD from the radio station tomorrow morning.

A View from McPeake is the other CD. Go to cmcpeake.com and check him out.
