Hi all, what a great time yesterday at Coulsdon, Surrey. I got there about 3:30 owing to having to do some jobs on my caravan in the morning. When I turned up I was greeted with UK's population of banjos (most of the skips outside had notices on "PLEASE NO MORE BANJOS").
No it was a pleasure to all the friendly faces and have a chat and of course a pick. It was a please to see my ole mates (young at heart) Joe & Bob, and of course Sheila and Ray, Paul & Yvone and hundreds more.
I snapped off 113 photos some good ones came out of them and they are on facebook but I'll put some up here too. It was a great pleasure to play with Biggin Hillbilles and it was nice to do some of there stuff kept me on my toes.
A big thankyou all for making such a good afternoon and evening, thanks Sheila and Ray for letting me eat bread pudding and drink gallons of coffee.
Sad news is I won't be at Orwell gonna miss it painfully but hope to see you at the end of June at East Anglian Bluegrass Festival!!
One last moan before I go, I would like to thank our wonderful Highways Dept on making a fantastic balls up of the M25. The turn off for the A12 was non existant untill the very last second in which if I'd taken it I would of had to take out about two other cars with me. So I had the pleasent drive to Waltham Abbey before I could turn off and then I thought *----* it I'll go through Epping and that way home as I didn't know if the other side of the M25 would be open for the A12.
I got home around 2:15 am and burnt some extra diesel in doing so!! :'(
