I got my latest banjo yesterday. It`s a gold plated 1927 style 1 Gibson, Gold plated Huber ring. I like it alot. I gave the head a crank and set with the drum dial and she really sings now! May be a keeper, we`ll see. I also started fixing my old fiddle. The fiddle was my grandfathers and as a teenager I remember it sitting in unplayable condition around our families house. About 10 years ago my dad gave it to me and it`s been hanging on the wall. I started fixing it awhile ago but snapped the neck off it. I re-glued it yesterday and put the tailpiece, strings, and bridge on it today but the fine tuner screw on the D string broke off! More work to do on it til I can finaly hear it. I`ll be posting some pictures of the both of them soon. Later all.
