The Kel Kroydon® Banjo Company has rolled back the hands of time in the Bluegrass Banjo world.
Tom Mirisola, President of the American Made Banjo Company has brought together some of the finest component and instrument builders he could find for his latest project. Together, Tom Mirisola, Robin Smith, Rick Kulesh and Steve Gill have turned back the bluegrass Banjo hands of time at least 20 years. In October 2010 the new Kel Kroydon banjo line named the “Affordable Series Banjo” was made available to purchase in stock or pre-order direct from the AMB Company. Tom stated: This is an exciting time for us and the bluegrass banjo community during the economic soft spot we are in. We now have 5 Models to choose from. The Nickel plated KK Standard Maple model will be a replica of the 20 year old banjo era so often talked about. The same era replica Nickel plated KK-3 Mahogany Standard model will have purfling rings on the resonator with the additional option of Wreath or Reno style inlay designs. The Nickle plated simple version Mahogany KK-250 has been named the work horse of the banjo line. The Walnut KK-4 with Hexavalent Chrome hardware and the Gold Plated & Engraved Granada.
The icing on the cake has yet to be read. The easy part of this project was replicating the looks and components of a banjo during a great era. Turning back the pricing to the1990's proved to be the test. We are pleased to announce, without diminishing the as always highest quality of the Kel Kroydon banjo reputation, we are able to compare to the typical retail pricing of 20 years ago. The Mahogany KK-250 will retail for $2,499.00. KK3 Mahogany will retail for $2,649.00. The KK Standard for $2,999.00. The Walnut KK-4 for $3,299.00 and the Maple Gold Plated Granada for $4,699.00
Kel Kroydon® "Affordable Series" Banjos can only be purchased through AMB Co direct

If this banjo has the real deal 1990 proprietary formula, sand cast Kulesh tone ring in it, stand back. It is hands down one of the finest tone rings ever made, period. The banjo already sounds like a real success story with the craftsmanship and quality materials built into it.
