I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for buying my next banjo. I have a GoldTone cc100rp which was a nice enough banjo, but now Im improving and feel the need for a better sounding banjo, cos I feel that the GoldTone doesnt sound like what I hear on records or videos. I dont know if Im being picky (no pun intended) or if the GoldTone does indeed have an inferior tone. I am in a position to be able to afford a better banjo now without going over the top as I am still a relative novice.
Any suggestions would be greatfuly appreciated, cheers the now, Leth

Hi Letham, good to hear you're progressing nicely. Sorry, I don't have experience about other banjos, but good luck in your search, and well done! Bryan.

I really like my Prucha Legend which will last me for the rest of my life. I guess it depends on how much you want to spend and if you think you will want to upgrade again. I've heard some really nice Recording Kings and Gold Stars but I think I'd eventually want to upgrade those.
