Lesson #3 is in the books. I didn't work as hard as I should have (still having trouble quickly switching from G/C/D while vamping) but I have a good excuse :) Matt did a great job, as I understand the importance of learning how to be a good backup. I promise I'll do better next week <grin>
Since my wife is sooooo sick of Cripple Creek played ad nauseum, Matt probably saved my marriage by teaching me a new song - it's harder than what I've been working on, so I like the challenge. He was a good sport and actually let me make a video of him playing it, so I have a visual/audio reference to work from. I'm not sure that's a common thing with a lot of teachers, so I'm grateful that he's pretty laid back in that respect. I already feel much more confident picking in front of him, so that's a hurdle that's fading.
Side note - I've got 2 little ones still in the house (9 and 11) and he ALWAYS plays them a cool song before he leaves. You should see them light up when he's playing for them....one day I hope to be able to do the same.
Thanks Matt - you've already made me better!

I record my lesson on video every week.My instructor plays it about half speed to help learn it and then up to speed so I can hear all the little things going on.Works real well for me.
