One week ago I launched a new site dedicated to promoting players of Irish Music on the Tenor Banjo:
In only one week, we already have over 100 enthusiastic members, over 100 Videos, over 100 Photos, plus the discussion forum is starting to get rather interesting, too.
It's good to see such interest in this much maligned member of the Irish Music fraternity.
I trust it can, in time, become an interesting & useful addition to this site, the Hangout, which is of course the No 1 Banjo site on the Net!
Cheers,
Dick

I just joined...I'm mostly a 5string and plectrum player, but I love the sound of Celtic tenor. I'm planning a trip to Ireland in May but I see you're on the other side of the island from where I'll be.

Yes John, unfortunately I'm on the other side of the island from where most musicians are! :-(
Still, if you get lost .....

I'm hoping to find some good music and pubs over on the western side...

John, there's so many down there, you'll be tripping over them. ;-)
Probably a good idea though, to get some up to date details from the guys on 'The Session website, once you know exactly where you'll be going.
