Hello all,
Mel Bay Publications has re-issued my book "Bach for the Banjo" which features my transcriptions of all of the Bach pieces from my two CDs - even the duets with guitar parts and all. I'll have it available on my web site soon - in the mean time you can go straight to the MelBay web site and order it there.
Thanks,
John

John,
I'm going through your book SCALES AND ARPEGGIOS FOR CLASSICAL BANJO. Excellent little book. I think that I'm practicing the scales too much, though, because my left shoulder is getting sore from moving up and down the neck so much. I didn't expect that. Maybe I need to start doing pushups.

Jeff,
Glad you are liking the book...it will definitely work out the left hand (and shoulder!). Thanks for the comment.

Delighted to see you active again. As previously mentioned you were the inspiration for me to take up the banjo. Good news is that I am still hanging in there (life is full of suprises). Did not know that you had a second CD...have to look it up. Not sure I am ready for the book but will definitely check it out. Happy Baching.

Hey Bhniko!
Thanks for the kind words...
should I be happy to have turned you to the banjo or feel guilty?
Just kidding =)
Always glad to be a part of someone's conversion to the greatest instrument on the planet. Glad to hear you are still with it...keep up the picking and stay in touch.
