Hi guys, I have been really bad and not been anywhere near this hangout or my banjo for a long time. I started a new job and I have since moved house. The upshot is I now can practise with no fear of neighbours complaining and with the aid of my trusted metronome, I can already see a vast improvement. I am sticking to just practising rolls and chord changes. Im hoping that if I can get totally competent with my left hand, I can worry about embelishing the neck work later. I am noticing a real upstep in speed and fluidity at last, which to a beginner is a real feeling of reaching a milestone. Still a long way to go but heres to more milestones being reached and conquered! Cheers guys, keep pickin

Hi Letham - welcome back - it sounds as though you're really getting into it now. Are you still in Oban? Keep in touch and let's know how you are getting on. Best wishes. Bryan.

Allright Brian, yeah Im still in Oban but I bought a bigger detached house , which makes for banjo practise, a great deal easier as you well know. I have a renewed vigour for practise now and Im really enjoying it again. Regards , Leth
