Wow, this is a sweet little banjo! I find I am plying the Goodtime more than my Alvarez now. Well, part of that may be because my Alvarez is in the process of being setup by Jim Penson in Arlington. I hope to have it back later this week or next weekend at the latest. However, my little Deering sure is addicting!

I have and play a Gibson Mastertone from the early 60s. Even so, I pick on a Deering Goodtime (2 models) that River City Music in Washington, Mo has. They're great banjos...American made...just like the Gibson!

Yes, I have been playing mine quite a bit. It's a very basic banjo, but it sounds great and it very easy to play. It's my new "travel banjo." It's so light that I can just put it in the backseat in a gig bag and off I go!
