Well it's a month after my last blog entry.
How's it going?
Well I have practiced every day for between 1/2 hour and an hour every day. I don't think I have missed a day in the last month. I have even done a couple of 2 pratice sessions in the same day. Although that did make my finger ends sore. LOL!!
I have now got 'Wait Til The Sun Shines Nellie' more or less off to a tee and am about half way through 'Hello My Baby'. on chord melody. I have also started from scratch with the Mel Bay Complete Tenor Banjo book and am learning standard notation from this book, although it is a slow process however and I am on single notes on tunes like Yankee Doodle. So I have to admit it is a bit of a hard lesson to learn 'pardon the pun'. Still I am sure it will be worth the effort. I do keep getting flashbacks from my piano lesson days at about 10yrs old with every good boy deserves football etc.
I have had a smashing lesson/chat on skype with Polle and he has given me some invaluale help and advice. We had lots of fun too. This just added to my resolve to practice more.
I think we should use this brilliant way of getting in touch with people. How much could we learn from each other by having chats/lessons on line with each other. Needless to say how much fun we could have with people on the other side of the world!
I am in myself feeling a little better, no longer getting up at 4am feeling sick. I am now sleeping most mornings until the alarm goes off. Yippeeeeee! I have also taken the step to make my working hours part time on a permenant basis. So some cutting back on spending is now in order. Must put my health before spare cash though. Some days are worse than others but on the whole I think I am on the first few steps to feeling better and happier.
Lastly I would just like to say thanks to all for your help, advise but most importantly your kind words whilst I have been at such a low ebb.

Richard, I am glad to hear that you are starting to feel better. And kudos for spending as much time as you do practicing and congrats on the progress you've been making. I am hopeful that your experiences in playing and socializing with fellow banjophiles continues to be therapeutic :-) All the best.........

Many Thanks Anthony
Cheers for your support.
I have to admit that sometimes I don't want to bring out my banjo to practice on some days but I always force myself and more often than not I get a lot of enjoyment and enrichment out of my practice.
Thanks again for your support.
