I just posted an new blog post on my blog (see address in signature below) where I invited my blog readers to open a Twitter account, with the idea that if we can get lots of banjo pickers to follow each other, we can create a community of banjo pickers on Twitter. There are so many ways to have a presence online, and there is nothing like the Banjo Hangout of course, but I find Twitter to be a quick way to be social with a whole bunch of people at once. It's micro-blogging and only good for 140 characters or less at a time, but I'm really finding this a great way to both send and receive short little updates from those Twitterers that I do follow. I'd love to be able to see little updates about all of you each time I take a little peek into Twitter. The fun part of this art form is belonging to this community. Care to join me in building a Twitter banjo player's community? Hey, it's free!
So there's the invite; if you are not real sure what Twitter is or why you should bother, sign on to my blog and read the post I just made. It'll answer some questions and you might be enticed to join me. Hope everyone is having a great end of summer/beginning of fall, and I'll chat with ya'll later!
