This weekend is the 2nd annual Rocklake Hoe Down at my family cabin. Last year was a blast and this year is looking to be bigger and better. We are having a pig roast with 2 chickens stuffed in, and a bunch of side plates, open jammin` galore all weekend and my band plays Sat. night at 7pm doing 2, 1 hour sets. Then free stage all night. The weather all summer has been crappy, but this weekend is shaping up to be pure sunshine!! Expecting 100 or more people, probably can`t cram in many more than that. On sept. 10th we just got asked to play Winnipegs best live music venue, The West End Cultural Center. We will be opening the show at 8pm then it`s the awesome band from Duluth MN, Trampled By Turtles. Dave Carroll has been talked about here on the hangout for his lightning speed banjo picking with a FLAT PICK!! Should be a great show.

Pepper, that sounds absolutely fabulous. How lucky you are to have all that space in Canada to accommodate all those people at your cabin- hope it goes well!

Cool. Wish I could make it to your set at the WECC, but I won't be free till about 9. Any other gigs coming up?
