Well,I did things up well, this time...smashed my right wrist into a pile of pieces eight days ago. That's the bad news. The good news?
Surgeon gathered up the fragments, arranged together, put two screws into the bone behind the right index finger and two screws into the middle of the radial bone about 6 inches above its smashed end and tied them together with an appliance, fastened to the two sets of screws by a steel rod. This apparatus, is on the outside of my forearm, and maintains the integrity of my forearm/wrist/hand.
Before the surgery the surgeon agreed to reconstruct my wrist so that I can continue to play the banjo. Well he did a great job!
I began playing, rather weakly, but playing, none the less, yesterday.
Now, I will use this wonderful activity for therapy during these weeks of pain filled recovery, Pray for me, dear friends of the banjo.
Must close, as this is 1 finger left handed typing.

I am so sorry to hear of this. Here is too a speedy recover. I had wondered where you had been.

My prayers for a speedy recovery, it is nice that you can still get a little playing in, hope this doesn't mess your hunting season.
