Here's my story: The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band was playing just a few miles from my home. Wow! Got excited. Called friends. Then found out it had long been sold out. So sad, frustrated. Missed opportunity.
Then my young friend who is a night manager at Luciano's (a really nifty Italian restaurant here in good ol' Mulvane, KS) told me that the band had booked the whole restaurant for themselves and their friends. So this brave young man took one of my banjos to work with him, then got the courage to ask them to sign it.
They graciously signed my banjo, adjusted the bridge, played a tune and even sang along (according to my friend --I, of course, wasn't there.)
So now I am the proud owner of a banjo signed and played by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band!

Too bad you couldn't have been one of the waiters! How does your banjo sound with the adjustment?
