Last night I became a great grandfather. What gift should I get for her? Thought of a large US bond that matures in 18 years when she is college age. But how about a banjo that she could start picking at age 5-7 and enjoy all those years?

Congratulations Leland. I became a Grandfather for the 8th time last week, and it sure is a terrific feeling, isn't it? Buy her the banjo and start her off yourself when she's old enough. Way things are, the bond could be next to worthless 18 years from now!
