2 recent events have encourgaged me to believe that I am making progress on the banjo journey and believe me, I need all the encouragement I can get.
The first is that my wife has always asked, indeed even plead, that I practice in the kitchen with the door closed. Recently she asked me to come out of the kitchen and play in the living room so she could listen! The 2nd event is that at banjo class last Saturday, my instructor's dog, named Earl by the way, came and laid by my side while I was playing and seemed to be enjoying my picking. I am sure that with his superior hearing ability, Earl could recognize greatnes in my music that mere humans cannot!
