I started playing banjo on April 7th 2008. All I can say is I am hooked. Totally addicted. I am having a blast playing and practice as much as I can. I finally uploaded a few tunes......theres plenty of mistakes to give you a good laugh if nothing else. Come on by my homepage and check 'em out.

I never intend to play in a band or jam. I just do it cause I like it and I'm perfectly content just playing for myself and my kids right here at home.

Doug,

I just started playing banjo the first of this year. My wife bought me lessons for a Christmas present and I have been going since. I just listened to some of your mp3 downloads and I am very impressed. Matter of fact as I was sitting on my couch listening, I had my puggle (pug/beagle mix) laying beside me and he just layed there and listened. That is a good compliment considering he runs to his kennel when I start practicing (lol). If I can play as good as you in 10 months, I'd be happier than a tick on a cow!! I see that you have a Fender FB-59. How do you like it? I may be thinking about an FB-58 but not sure yet. Anyway, keep up the good work and post some more tunes. I'll be checking in for new downloads.

Playing the banjo has made my world a whole lot better. I am having the most fun I've ever had playing tunes I didn't know existed.

Check out my YOUTUBE banjo videos from last weekend - just look for "banjojudy" and you'll see more banjo tunes played with more banjos than you can imagine. Foggy Mountain Breakdown on a fretless minstrel?

I'm new to the hangout , i've been playing for about 10 mos. also I take lessons once per week and I practice every day I also love it, I saw where the Banjo Feller was asking about the fender you have for sale and I would like to tell him that I use a Fender B59 and I love it I couldn't be happier and the price you are asking is a very resonable one . hopefully someone will buy it that loves it as much as I do ,
