I thought I had my banjo pretty well dialed in, but this evening it wasn't performing to my satisfaction, so I installed a slightly taller bridge and that seemed to do the trick. I'm still using the "Snuffy Smith" compensated bridge with standard spacing, just a little taller now.
I felt really fumble-fingered tonight. I'm hoping this is just from lack of steady practice and not due to my nasty habit of playing the guitar more than the banjo lately. I'm trying to reverse that trend, but that 6-string is an awful lot of fun...
Pete Wernick's jam camp at Argyle is a little less than a month away and I have a lot of work ahead of me to get ready for it.
