My friends I promise this, I won't ever move again. Even though Allied moved us the hard work of getting everything out of boxes and situated in the places they go. I realize in a big way my age and condition won't allow anything of this magnatude to happen again.
I have to say I do like this little house. It isn't real big but it is real cozy. I have my own little computer /art / music room. As I write this I am listening to Never 2 Late by Larry Perkins. It doesn't get any better than this.
My wife Cathy and I only came near to blows a few times. When you are in pain all the time you kind of have the disposition of a bear with a stick stuck in his back. We survived it all somehow and are still planning to stay married. Now that is quite an acomplishment.
I have discovered areas that can hurt that I never knew I had. But thankfully I am nearly to the place that I can sit back and relax. Ahh, that sounds good to me.

I agree with you both. I have seriously reinjured my back with very little effort.

We have lived in the same home for nearly 30 yrs. i'm determined they can carry me out in a box. Gypsies have the right idea. They move the house with everything in it.

I can imagine, the only time my wife and I fight over anything is when we moved and it was like cats and dogs. So I told her to forgo that in the future we'll just stay put. Glad to see you posting again Darrell!

I hope this is the last time. BSA I am a huge Marx Brothers fan!
Jim, I had my computer down for a week and that was tough in itself!

Darrell I moved last January and I know exactly what you mean. I was exhausted and hurting and the walls of boxes seemed to take forever to pound down. But, like yourself, we moved to a much smaller house. It's everything we had before only downsized and "cozy" is the perfect word for it. For a while my life was in limbo but after the first year, I'm loving it. Best of luck in your new home and now is the start of fun new memories!!!

I remember the move that taught me I was getting too old to be throwing stuff around. We were moving my daughter into a dorm at OU. It is a terrible feeling to get caught up in a move that takes more than you have to give. I'm glad it is almost over for you. There is nothing like having your own cozy multitasking room! Don't be such a stranger; someone is liable to think you wrote another "provocative" (as in it might provoke thought) blog! We wouldn't want that to happen!
