Keep on the Sunny side

Posted by kentr on Wednesday, January 7, 2009

Hi,

We have had some of the storms, snow and ice, out in the North West that I think of as being  mostly back east. I do not understand how it would be to have such severe weather every year.

While we will no dought have some more of winter, I am already seeing some signs of spring.

We have crocosmia, Iris, and daffodils starting to peek out of the ground. In a couple of weeks we hope to see the first of the Fawn Liles around the oak trees.

Looks like you got banjos growing out of the walls as well. Are they all yours?

This is a serious question. Does hanging a banjo from a wall hanger do any damage? I'm thinking of the weight and if it can stretch the neck.

That pic is from about '97,  have since lost that house, and some of the banjos.

All there were built, assembled, or tinkered into being, by me, ecept the tiny one, that one is a plactic musical toy.

the "banjumbo" was a fun project, and sounded OK.  Strung up as a bass. Now sold.

I've not had problems with hanging them, and some have been hanging for years.

The homemade wooded hangers havw worn a bit of the finish off where they hit, yet

only a few hangers have been padded.

When they're out, it's easy to pick one up to play, even for a few minutes.
