Posted by bevans on Friday, January 2, 2009

Happy New Year wishes to everyone on the Hangout! Let's hope for a great 2009 filled with banjos and music making. The big news is that my new CD with Megan Lynch, "let's do something..." is now available directly from the webstore at www.nativeandfine.com. This new 11 track CD features our takes on tunes from Van Morrison, Nick Drake, Mark Knopfler, Deb Talan, Teitur, Chris Coole and others, along with two new instrumentals from yours truly. You can sample full tracks from this project by visiting the Bill Evans and Megan Lynch MySpace page at www.myspace.com/billevansandmeganlynch.

The CD is also available now through CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com) and will be available on Amazon.com beginning Tuesday, January 6. The new recording is available now as a digital download through www.digstation.com. By the end of this month, also look for it on iTunes, Rhapsody, eMusic and most other major digital sites. In touring and workshop news, I'll be up in the Northwest for much of January, with workshops and concerts scheduled for Portland, OR; Seattle and Bellingham, WA; and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. wow, you'll be playing in Ballard 1/17, starting at 11pm. If that holds true, I'll see if I can make it out. I have a show myself, until 9pm....but we shall see.

Darn, wish I still lived out in Vancouver, b.c.  The Anza club is a good little venue, have played there myself. You should come out to Winnipeg mb. some time, anyway sounds like some good workshops etc... good luck!

Hey Bill

Sounds fab (unfortunately I'm in the UK) but I think you may want to change your title to say 2009 Concerts and Workshops?

Best, TC
