Well. everything else is ready for Christmas except diner. We will celebrate our Christmas tradition of coming together at my house for Christmas diner and just spending the day together. We have been dong this so long that everyone knows what to bring. I'll cook the turkey, dressing, giblet gravy, pork loin, and a few other items. My girls, 3 of them will bring the rest. My brother will bring a spiral cut ham and we will just enjoy the family togetherness at the table. All seven grands will be here to share in this special time.
My grandson, of whom I am very proud, is a dancer with the American Ballet Theater,,,his sister, a freshman at the U. of South Carolina, my grandsons Oliver, and Mason, their sister Leigh Ann, twins Kensley and Dylan. What a great time it will be.
When my wife was still with us, the kids and I used to drive her up the wall. I have a box of "musical instruments", mostly kazoos and the kids and I would line up and march through the house playing "Stars and Strips forever". They loved it and so did I. They are a little big for that now but maybe I can get at least one of them to want to learn to play a banjo, mandolin, fiddle or guitar.. They will listen to me but just don't seem to have any interest in playing. (could it be my playing is so bad? haha}
So merry Christmas to you all. Enjoy your family, you can't love them too much and it will be returned...
