Hi Folks:
I have a couple of fingerboard chips I'd like to fill, and am going to do it with CA glue and some ebony dust. I've been playing around on a scrap to see if I can get it right.
Do you prefer (a) filling the chip with the dust and then dropping the glue on top, or (b) making a glue/ebony paste and applying that? If you do the first, do you level off the dust at the top of the chip, or start with a mound of dust that reaches past the top?
And is supermarket "krazy glue" ok, or should I spend time searching for the "boutique" stuff?
Thanks!
Chris
