Anyone ever played a washburn 'A' style 5 string banjo? Circa 1920s? There's a left hand one on the web for sale and im just wondering what they're like? Ive never played or heard a washburn so have no idea of their capability.

It's a really great old-time banjo with a donut tone ring. And a cool tension hoop with the hooks going into the side of the hoop. If you're left-handed and play old-time clawhammer or fingerstyle, it would be one to go for i'd think. The tenor versions (far more common) are great for Irish music too.
