Somewhere in my memory is a man stating he would wait ten minutes for Elizabeth Taylor, and not a minute more. I gather he was an impatient man. Or smart. Not sure which. Up until I moved to my current place I felt I was forever waiting for someone. I once waited ten years for my then husband to answer a simple yes or no question. Actually, longer. On the appointed date, he said he wasn't ready and I should stop being so pushy.
I waited four hours once for a politician to show up for a political event, not for his sake, but for my mother's. He ended up talking privately to her for half an hour afterwards and I gained massive daughter points for it. That wait was an exception to the rule.
How long would you wait for your favorite idol?

I don't have a favorite idol.... I suppose whether or not I had somewhere else I should be (?) would be a factor in "allowable" time.
We were at a car show a few weeks back and my wife "disappeared." I waited longer than I thought it would take an ambulance to show up, then checked into a nearby store I thought she might (?) prefer over cars... no luck ... then decided I should check our vehicle. Thar she be .... resting in the relative shade.
All told, probably 10 minutes?? [And I don't recall much about the last I-don't know-how-many cars.
