I can post photos from my iPad, but I cannot post pictures from my iPhone. What do I need to turn on in order to do that?

Your ipad likely uses jpeg which is the only format this website accepts.
Your iphone uses HEIC/HEIF. This is not compatible with this website.
I have previously asked if this site could be updated to include HEIC/HEIF. The silence told me that it was not possible or there was no interest on part of the developer.

If you’re trying to post pictures from your iPhone camera, this setting should be able to switch the default photo format from HEIC to JPEG and thus work with this site:
imore.com/how-take-jpeg-pictur...tead-heic
HEIC is the better photo file format in my opinion, so I don’t keep this turned on myself, but this is probably the easiest way to deal with the format incompatibility if you don’t want to manually convert your photos
