I realize ^^ study had a narrow focus, but I wonder how many other procedures (?) would produce similar results. I've had several surgeries with results running the gamut from 100% to made-things-somewhat-worse.
Maybe my "placebo effect mechanism" isn't fully developed?? ... or switches on-and-off??

I found the use of "... [a] sham surgery control group" kinda interesting. I guess wonders [i.e. arthroscopy replacing conventional open surgery] never cease ...... mucho reduced need for sham painkillers to deal with sham pain* for the first several days.
* not to be confused with that other cham pagne.
