I almost hate posting this because I've seen similar posts, but from years ago... couldn't find anything current so here goes
I like to use BIAB for making backup tracks just to have something to practice and play with and just wondering if there was anyone else out there doing the same. I don't have many just yet but I have been working on Chuck Van Dyke's version of (Gordon Lightgfoot) Early Mornin' Rain YouTube banjo version and have worked out basically a chord progression on BIAB that I'd be willing to share. I was just hoping there was a place here in the Hangout where those SGU files were made available. BTW - I just upgraded my BIAB to the 2026 version (from 2005, ugh...) so I'd also be interested to hear any "secrets" you might be willing to share too!!

I have all the original Allsgu files but have never figured out a way to send them to anyone. I have added probably another 200 or so over the years.

I have a compressed file with the original Allsgu files which is small enough (81 KB) to be emailed as an attachment. Send me a pm if you're interested and I'll send them to you.

Thanks y'all! I appreciate your quick responses. Mike, I'd sure be interested in that 81Kb file - not sure if y'all are familiar with the "innards" or BIAB, but it's time consuming to try and build all those songs, so this would definitely be a super help. I'll reach out and send you my email address that you can send those to.

So, is there still a forum or place I just missed finding here that folks use to kick around BIAB thoughts, ideas, songs, etc...?

We never had a forum just for BIAB. You can use the search function to find posts about BIAB. A lot of information used to be on the bluegrass forum and is probably now archived.
