Is there a way to upload videos without linking a YouTube video? I would not post my videos on YouTube, the Ai is ripping people off and I don’t really agree with their policies. I would like to share video from my smart phone

At this point, I don't think there is another way. This is a good question for Eric to check out. He reads this forum often so maybe he can give you an answer as to why or why not on the video uploads.

I am all for smacking you tube out of the universe --with their commercials
Eric always shows pasting a simple link to the vid page--and we( seasoned bho )have been getting you tube's much longer embed code and going thru a selected forums rich/ text source setting-I don't know the specifics of why--however I have seen embed codes provided by others- so maybe this can help someone that understands it

One could "host" the video anywhere, vimeo, or maybe your own website. Then post a link here.

Notice bho can host mp3 files but not video?
Tells you video requires a whole bunch of memory.
