Seems a little fishy to me . I guess it could have blown out of someone’s vehicle. Who ever owns it will know it when they see it . My question is where is the banjo that supposed to be in ? However I do have a couple of extra cases I need to sell. That being said I would definitely know if one was missing… I would think ? Maybe the owner claims it ? maybe not ? You too may have an extra case now ? Best of luck

The banjo that is supposed to be (???) in the case is probably on a stand next to the owner's recliner.

Another possibility:

The case (and the banjo that was once in it) may have been stolen.
The case is very easily identifiable (by the actual owner) due to the stickers and markings. Thus, the thief ditched it, and will either hawk the banjo w/o a case, or get an unmarked case for it.

Yeah, WDVX radio is in Knoxville. There's another sticker from Musician's Workshop in Asheville,NC a store which closed in 2023. So methinks this is a southern banjo case, or at least one that's well traveled through the south.
It's also a Guardian case, not a high end case, but came standard with plenty of Chinese banjos. Also, is a case brand used by some domestic banjo brands.
The case has seen its better days.

maybe they got a new one and left it for some poor soul that needed a case of some kind.
