Ok thnx, Bill,, I hadn’t checked. I was able to watch the video yesterday, but it looks like Jan has taken it down. Here’s one similar.  Check out the tune at 47:17,, from 1915,,amazing

Too bad the video was taken down.

I saw Peter Rowan and David Grisman when they were in Earth Opera, with Grisman playing his electrified mandolin and mand-cello. I saw Richard Greene once, in the band Seatrain, at the Festival Express. It would have been good to have seen them "in context".

Electrified!... Schmelectrified,, sheesh.  Why destroy the beautiful tone of an old Loyd Loar with artificial..... well, you know the rant by now...

Wait! There's more! I "forgot" to mention that Richard Greene's violin (at the Festival Express) was electrified, too!
