I wasn’t sure if the picking was strong enough at the beginning when I made this video 10 years ago, but it seems ok now - must be my tinnitus….
Fred Rose wrote this one but I find it tough to sing at jams - I don’t have the vocal range.
Arrangement by Janet Davis from her “The Ultimate Banjo Songbook”.

Great picking Chuck and you don't seem to have aged in the last 10 years!
I really like this song but find that its two-chord simplicity can throw others at a jam. A lot of people want to put a IV chord in it.

earlstanleycrowe Thanks! Yes, I’ve noticed that at times. Some play it with a flatted 7 chord (F) near the end. Go figure….
i had the same problem at jams with "Jimmy Brown the Newsboy" ,, they couldn't handle the 2-chord structure.

Thanks Chuck! Love me some Fireball Mail.
I play this song as part of my warm up routine and I play it almost exactly as you do. It’s also a great song to play when someone stops by my house and sees a banjo on the stand and requests a tune.
