Hello,I live in the UK and finding a Brass no-knot tailpiece with slotted retaining posts is virtually impossible.

Is there anyone in the United Kingdom who has one they would prepared to sell to me or swap for something .I can find several in the US but in every case the cost of shipping doubles or triples the price.

I take it you particularly want a brass finish no-knot ?

I do Stephen,I have just changed all the shoes and nuts on my banjo to brass,I got a whole set for nothing as they came on an old busted up banjo,and rather than the huge chrome tailpiece that is presently on it I would like a brass no-knot ,

Ok I have this but it's gold plated, I think.:-) I'll see if i can find an approriate bolt for it in the morning.

Interesting item; I've never seen a Rickard tailpiece with straight posts, string slots, narrow spacing, and a patent stamp.

Ahh. Ok. Well it came on a banjo that the builder said had raw brass hardware from Rickard.....  If not, it's a nice tailpiece in good quality brass, not like the cheaper unknown alloy ones that break.

If you needed other small parts or you or a friend were visiting the states, it would make sense to get one or more from me. Only $12, but yes, the shipping for one tailpiece to the UK is significantly more than the actual tailpiece cost.
