Obvious flash of a gang sign for the camera. By 1910, it had been well established that three-finger banjoists were crooks. Interesting to see even New Zealand was part of the cabal...

I've got a Weaver that the shield is engraved "Sydney 1910"--- not New Zealand, but interesting. I even have the terrible leather case that is falling apart.

The link posted by conic will eventually take you to a very high res version of this image. The banjo is interesting to me. It has an unusual peghead shape. It is fretted to the 15th fret but the neck looks strangely long. I feel like I have seen that peghead shape before but I just don't remember where.
