this may be a dumb question, but i’m a beginner. bob gibson has a version of Lost jimmie whalen on one of his albums that i really like, but i can’t seem to figure out what tuning it’s in. definitely lower than open g. i’ve already looked, and there doesn’t seem to be any tablature or sheet music for it online.
a youtube link will be included. any help figuring this out would be very much appreciated!

It sounds to me a LOT like Pete Seeger's Carol of the Beasts/Bergundian Carol, which he played in gCGBD tuning out of C-minor, if memory serves. There's video of him playing it on the Rainbow Quest with Hedy West and Mississippi John Hurt about half an hour in. That might help:
