Recently I had a picker friend ask me if I knew who makes this bridge. I cannot find anything out there on it. Anybody here have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help!!

I may be wrong, but it looks like a Bullfrog bridge from Virgil Lawson.

Do you happen to have any pictures of one of his?

No, I'm going from memory here. He doesn't seem to have any for sale right now. You might send him a private message and ask him if it's one he made.
His user name is vlawson.

Thank you! I appreciate your help!!

I had a recent thread trying to ID a bridge, which looks pretty definitively to be a Lawson bullfrog bridge. While not identical to yours, the black dot + the general design is similar. You can compare yours with mine: banjohangout.org/topic/407421

Well I'll be! That has the arrows and markings as the bottom of this one! Wow! Thank you!

Are "bullfrog" bridges made in both straight and compensated configurations?   [Inquiring minds want to know!!  wink ]

I contacted Virgil Lawson and although he doesn't make them anymore, he said that's one of his early bridges. Thank you!

Very cool, thanks for contacting him and sharing!

Is your bridge straight? The one I have has a serious curve to it. That would answer Owen's question.

I really enjoy my bridge of his. I took it off the banjo it came with and it's really made another one come to life. Great evenness in tone and power across strings and up the neck.

Yes this one is straight. I saw on a Facebook page that he made curved ones too. He builds guitars at Dreamwood. Pretty impressive work.

I made that bridge when I first started.

A CNC computer made it.

Yes I made them both. I'm thinking of starting back making them.
