I have some banjo parts that I have had for over 20 years and still not used. I have a complete set of gold plated parts for a Gibson Florentine .....gold plated and engraved ...... to include tone ring, flange, tension hoop and tailpiece .... along with the rim. All of the parts came from Bill Sullivan at First Quality when I bought them. I have had zero luck finding any comparable parts on the internet just so I can get some idea of what the would be selling for today. Of course I will adjust the price, as I do not expect to get what retailers are selling them for. Any ideas on where to find comparable parts and prices?

Figure what equivalent nickel plated parts are selling for and bump them by the percentage that gold changes the price on tailpieces (or just start with the nickel price and see how the market feels about it).

If you remember how much you paid for them, do a search on the net (AI should do this for you) asking what the $$$ amount then would be now. That may give you a ballpark.

The biggest difference other than the gold is the engraving. All of these parts are hand engraved and I have no idea what the going price is for engraving. Comparing like nickel versus gold parts not quite as hard, but your suggestion is noted.

Wayne ..... I may still have the invoice with them and that will probably help some.

These are parts looking for a buyer. Extremely rare parts for an extremely rare buyer who will be delighted to get them after possibly looking for years for such parts.

If it's relevant, scroll down this page to find a useful inflation calculator.

Ken & Bill ..... maybe that would help if these same engraved items were still readily available today (and may still help), but the fact that these are no longer available, to the best of my knowledge, would also factor in. I may try and find some older, but relatively current pice lists, for these same items. For the hooks, nuts, coordinator rods, etc. it shouldn't be a problem finding current porices.
