Opened for me just fine. Marco your timing and chording are impeccable! You really make the music swing!

Finally got it to open for me. Don't know why it wouldn't before.

Great start of the new year with this video! Love it :-)
Great trio, it is not so usual to see a bass sax, reminds me of Adrian Rollini….
Thank you for sharing Marco
A warm hug to you and your family!

Paolo and Willy, thank you for your comments!

So good! Marco, those young kids would have gone flying off the rails without you holding it all together.

Laurence, your comment is very interesting. Indeed, when the combo lacks a keyboard and a drum kit or a washboard, the banjo must provide both rhythm and harmony: this is a somewhat complicated task, especially since four strings don't allow for a very wide chord range, and the picking must have a washboard-like effect. In my case, the situation is even more complicated because I can't read music and I don't know the keyboard, except for hitting a few basic chords. The fact that real musicians like you and the other BHO friends appreciate how I try to address these problems gives me great satisfaction. Thanks!

Marco I know that you can't read music but this does not mean that you don' t know the music!  I was always surprised by your talent: you know perfectly how to do all the chord inversions that this kind of music needs, your rhythm is very solid and your soloing on Tenor banjo is superlative... your are a complete musician and the fact that you can't read music is not a problem in anyway, remember that musicians like Bix or Chet did not read music... so you are in exellent company :-)

Agreed. I think of a "real musician " as someone who has a good, musical ear. Which you obviously do. Also - Django Reinhardt!

Hi Marco,
It's good to welcome your version here. Looks like only four of us members have recorded this great old jazz favorite.
You gave the combo just what they needed---some fire and drive.

Thank you for this inspiration!   We hope you have many more years showing us what excellent is with the banjo!
