Hello folks,
I’ve been looking for a 5 string Elite tailpiece for ages and had a couple questions if y’all good people don’t mind.
1. Are WTB (wanting to buy) post allowed on Swap Shop? I read the rules page, and I didn’t see anything about it. I’ve been wanting to make a post trying to find the part I’m looking for but didn’t want to break the rules.
2. And regardless of whether I can or cannot make WTB post here does anyone happen to have any good suggestions for finding the piece I’m looking for? They seem to be pretty plentiful but I’m just not finding any for sale individually.
Thanks in advance and happy new year!

Can't help with locating the tailpiece but if you start to create an ad, under AD TYPE one of the options is Want to Buy.
I would also put WTB in the ad description.

Although there's nothing in the rule about WTB ads, it is allowed and can be done.
As far as the tailpiece, I have no idea if it's available or where. Hopefully someone on here will be able to help you.

Be careful though; WTB ads attract a lot of attention from scammers. Don't send money without checking out the user's profile, story, etc.

Right, ask for specific staged photos. While not foolproof, it is complicated to fake and at this point AI slop is not good at faking anything banjo related.
Things like "write my name on a note card with the date and take a photo of the part on it" or a specific angle, all of which are easy to do if one has the part, will cut out the scammers.
Scammers will act offended if you ask for this, real sellers will be happy to oblige.

Thanks for all the helpful information, it’s exactly what I was looking for.

You can't post a WTB on Swap Shop, unless you first post a WTB ad in the Classifieds.
Go to Marketplace, choose Classifieds, then choose Post a New Ad. Follow the prompts after that.

Did you get my message? For some reason I rarely ever get a reply.. even just to tell me to pound sand.
I'm starting to think that people either use a burner email for this message board or just ignore the emails.
more likely, perhaps they just ignore me.

I apologize for that Joe, I don’t get around to reading my emails often and I miss a lot when I do.
I will be the first to admit I’m not very computer literate, more especially when I’m distracted by a house full of family.
I replied to your email btw and would love that.
Thanks a ton
