Hello all,
I wanted to introduce myself to the hangout. I am Emily Ellis, a banjo builder down in Alabama. I make gourd banjos and steambent-rim tackheads. Everything I do is hand guided. I do all my inlay by hand. Check out my website if you'd like more information or to get in touch! I love to chat about banjos!

I am now taking commissions for 2026 if you would like to get in line and on the list. Thanks!

I looked at your website. The peghead with the pointer is awesome! Do you have any sound files to share?

Thanks so much! The pointer dog was actually the first inlay I ever did, so it gets pride of place at the top of the page for the time being.
I do have a YouTube channel where I play some of the instruments. Some are sold before I get the opportunity to make a video. youtube.com/@EllisBanjoCompany
I'm also on instagram (Emily ellis banjo company) and Facebook (Emily Ellis)
Thanks!

Your artwork is very impressive, and the banjos all look great. Best of luck in the coming year.

If you sell them before you can make a video of them, that is a testament to your work.

Thank you, everyone! You're very kind! I am new to the hangout. I'm not sure what took me so long to "get" here. Thanks!
