Been awhile since they cut the price.

The listing includes a big lie from Guitar Center: “…designed to fit all standard 4-and5-string banjos.”

I bought one of them in 2017, and used it for a resonator banjo, and used a folded bath towel to make it work for a 12” rim open back. It went to every gig I did from 2017 to 2024, until I let it go with a banjo, to a student. It did the job, but I did have to reglue the lining in several places over time. Great case for home storage or local stuff, but I wouldn’t trust it for heavy road traveling, air travel, or shipping anything valuable.

"This banjo case is designed to fit all standard 4- and 5-string banjos."

All standard 4 and 5 string banjos will fit in this case.  That's likely true.  No claims about non-standard banjos or how well the fit is.

$55 for a storage case is a pretty good price.

I bought one 8 years ago when they were on sale for $35 and it is great. I bought another on sale a few months ago and it is not nearly as good as the first one, but not bad for the price.

I agree, the newer ones are not much more than some cardboard shaped like a banjo with a cheap plastic handle. $35  is about all they're worth.

IDK, I have bought these over the years for donated banjos. The one I just got is the nicest yet. Certainly not chipboard, and there is no gap on the pot end when you put some weight on it. That was always a flaw on these and other cheaper cases. Looks like they added some more overlap from the lid. (It does not have the extra bottom latch better cases have). So for the price and purpose, it's a good deal.

They dropped them to $45...looks like I'll find out the current quality & fitment by next Tuesday.

Thank you for the tip, Brian Murphy!
I just ordered two for a couple of homeless banjos I put together. They may not be the best, but it’s definitely a step up from laying on the back seat of my car on the way to jams

Thanks Brian and Terry! I’ve got one on the way for my “new” Leo Masterclone. Can’t hardly go wrong for less than $50!!!
