I'm curious, now that Ome is in Florida under the Gold Tone umbrella, are they using shared inventory, or OEMs, for the hardware? Tension hoops, hooks, nuts, co-rods, tone rings/hoops, etc.
I know the wood is different, and obviously the craftsmanship. But what about the hardware, specifically?
Has anyone had a chance to handle the new Omes and compare the hardware to Gold Tone? Or have any knowledge on the difference between Ome hardware and Gold Tone hardware, specifically?

I met Justin at Earl Scruggs fest. He told me all of the hardware was made in the states except the truss rods. Why they aren't using USA made truss rods is a wonder to me, but... I played two open backs and the feel and fit and finish were essentially the same as the Omes I have played in the past. I'd think that their hardware or the hardware that Patrick has at Balsam Banjo works are good quality, which are also made in the states. Once things get straightened out with tariffs, Rickard and Prucha parts would be my go to.
