What to do for Intros and outros for OT tunes that don’t have an easy way to truncate the verse or chorus for bookending it? My current piece I’m inquiring about it Camp Meeting in July, but I’ll use it as a basis for others too. Should I just create a short measure or 2 in the key it’s in or maybe a sample of its chord progression?

Most OT tunes that I play at jams and dances don't have much in the way of intro and generally no outro. An intro may be "four potatoes" to establish the rhythm or 2-4 pickup notes. In a concert setting, a formal intro or outro may be more common. Some waltzes also use an intro made up a phrase from the last measure or two of the tune. "Si Beag Si Mor" is an example. These are exceptions to the rule in my playing.

I agree with David. If you are arranging a tune for a solo presentation, the intro/outro are up to your imagination. Speaking in terms of musical presentation you can state part of the ending of the tune as an intro. When playing for some forms of dance that we play for there is often a flourish at the end of a tune that can be as simple as a held note or chord, or an arpeggio which can be achieved by simply playing the last chord in a slow brush or a scale run up the neck. But rarely if ever do I see that being done outside of a performance.
