While attempting to remove the 'pot' assembly, a number of the screws managed to come out normally. Others did not. I decided to gently lever up the mounting brackets and in the process, some screws came up with the brackets and the rest broke off. They were pretty rusty. I decided to hammer the broken screws down into the rim using a 3/32” pin punch to make way for filling the holes, which I used standard matches with glue then cut off the excess with my Japanese saw and sanded everything smooth.
